Good Morning! May 15 is finally here and that means Seattle Foundation’s Give BIG campaign is underway!
WAPI has been evaluated by the Seattle Foundation and has received funding from the foundation in 2007, 2009, and 2012.
Giving BIG to WAPI today is a way to support culturally relevant drug and alcohol counseling, prevention and engagement through arts and music.

Congratulations to WAPI Staff Member Hailstorm Santa Anna! After work hours, Hailstorm is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Last week she entered the Seattle International Kyokushin tournament and placed second in her division. Hailstorm was the only woman in the division and took 2nd place in the toughest division of the tournament.
Hailstorm is part of the Juvenile Justice Assessment Team at King County Juvenile Detention. As part of the JJAT team, Hailstorm conducts drug and alcohol assessments with youth who enter the juvenile justice system. Hailstorm also conducts individual sessions of WAPI’s Street Scholars curriculum, planting seeds in the youth that are in detention.
