HOW IT WORKS
When a youth is assessed by our counselors, he/she is placed accordingly into a level of care that corresponds their needs. WAPI uses the American Society of Addiction Medicine's (ASAM) criteria for placement. WAPI provides early intervention, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and diversion and alcohol & drug information school (ADIS) classes. All youth are expected to complete our common care path, which includes group and individual sessions, therapeutic recreation (drug free activities and alternatives such as AA/NA meetings) and an aftercare phase. Street Scholars also uses the Seven Challenges program in conjunction with Street Scholars. To find out more about the Seven Challenges, click here
